NEWNESS! Well, at least to me!! Ive been following Beauty Bakerie makeup for a bit there and some of you have asked me to review their stuff and Im finally jumping on the sweet bandwagon. The brand itself is independently owner by awesome girl boss Cashmere Nicole and its cruelty free and vegan goodies have an ice-cream and candy theme. I was sent their illuminator in SO ICY and the cream shadow in CRUMB CAKE.
SO ICY looks a bit dark when I heavy swatched it and in pan but it doesn’t translate to that on the face (I was just showing you the shade but you can layer this or blend it out) its a bronzey gold with fine gold and silver particles. its a bit on the glitter side but very very fine glitters – I have a policy of no glitters on the head or cheeks (but thats it! lids and lips are game on!) and this wasn’t over the top on the face, it delicately highlighted the bridge of my nose and enhanced my fading semi-tan.
CRUMB CAKE is a cream shadow that comes in a pot – think Mac’s paint pots – this doesn’t budge once it goes dry so you can use it as base for other shadows or just by itself, this particular shade is a rose mauve and I probably would use it by itself under a wing for a quick look – lately Ive been into the minimal makeup looks and the simpler the better..
My only caveat with this brand is that as much as the packaging is divine, its quite bulky to carry a big jar of highlight – its a bit complicated to store and the lid seems to close on the looser side of things, I would recommend you keep this upright or on your vanity as part of your counter decor (easy to reach too). It gave me the sweetest subliminal sweet tooth too!!! Ive eaten half a carton of ice cream just writing this review.
THEY ARE HAVING A FREE SHIPPING SPECIAL THIS WEEKEND TOO!! which is a great opportunity to try this brand!!
