BH Cosmetics ‘Naturally Flawless’ Liquid Foundation ($8.99)
BH Cosmetics released this new foundation line a few months ago and I just realized that I did swatches but never posted them. Dummy. Here’s what their website has to say about the product:
‘Get skin-pampering benefits and a radiant complexion with our new and improved BH Liquid Foundation. Reformulated with the addition of hyaluronic acid, it helps keep skin hydrated and younger looking. This foundation provides lightweight, medium to full coverage and a natural satin finish and comes in 18 shades to flatter multiple skin tones.’
Indoor lighting.
So what are my thoughts? Obviously ‘hyaluronic acid’ is music to my ears and I like the idea of getting skincare benefits from makeup. However I wouldn’t consider it to be a medium to full coverage foundation. In my opinion, it’s light to medium. It builds nicely but if I have any blemishes, I still need concealer to fully hide those suckers. It has a really beautiful satin finish that gives you the ‘my skin but better’ look.
Outdoor lighting
It’s a moisturizing formula that will be perfect for normal to dry and/or mature skin. Not sure if I’d recommend it for oily skin though. The shade range isn’t bad but it still has room for improvement. They could use a few darker shades with more cool undertones etc. Let me know if you want to see swatches on brown skin. I’m sure I can find a friend who would be willing to lend me an arm for a few hours.
This foundation has actually really started growing on me. In general I like a more full coverage foundation but this one is buildable and I love the radiant finish. I would compare it to Loreal True Match Lumi or Armani Luminous Silk. It’s available on bhcosmetics.com and Ulta but as of now, Ulta only has three shades.
Top swatches are outdoor lighting, lower are indoors.
I’m seriously considering buying the shade 205 fair golden but I’m not sure if it’s a shade and undertone match. I have light Chinese skin with neutral to warm undertones. What would you recommend? 🙂
