At long last MAKEUP GEEK has released their much anticipated LIQUID LIPSTICKS! There’s two different formulas: PLUSH CREME and PLUSH MATTE.

Both varieties are a cross between a cream and a mousse. The formula sits on top of the lips for a soft ‘plush’ feel. The PLUSH CREME line retails for $14 each or you can purchase the complete set of 9 for $95 (25% savings).

The PLUSH CREME tube weight is 3 ml/ .10oz. All shades are VEGAN and of course cruelty free.

BFF- warm medium pink

FREE SPIRIT- bright paprika red

TROPHY WIFE- candy apple red

JETSETTER- soft peach brown

TROUBLEMAKER- muted pale purple

PRANKSTER- bright pinky purple

TRAILBLAZER- dusty grayish purple

OLD SOUL- bronzey muted rose

SOCIALITE- warm purple with subtle brown undertones

I love the PLUSH CREME formula. It feels like I’m wearing a lip balm. One thin coat is all you need for opaque color off and have I mentioned how comfortable they are?? They have a satin finish but there’s a few that have a little shine to them. I just got these yesterday and in effort to try as many as possible, I’ve been changing colors almost hourly. So I haven’t had time to test them for longevity yet.

They have a flat doe foot applicator that’s narrow enough to outline your lips but large enough to fill in the rest quickly and without having to get more product.

My favorites are FREE SPIRIT, TROPHY WIFE and OLD SOUL. I just wish they had a few more colors since I can’t pull off the purple and gray tones.

They also released 18 PLUSH MATTE lipsticks that you can purchase individually for $12. You can also purchase the entire set for $160 (25% savings). These come in shorter tubes and have 1.8ml/ .06oz of product. They’re also a cream/ mousse hybrid but they dry down to a matte finish.

First let’s look at the more cool toned shades…

BACHELORETTE- brightened pink

PARTY GIRL- vibrant cool toned pink with purple undertones

DARE DEVIL- brightened lavender

COUGAR- intense warm magenta

URBANISTA- muted plum

TOMBOY- muted berry with purple undertones

MISFIT- deep gray with strong purple undertones

WILD CHILD- intense cobalt

ROCKER CHICK- deep warm purple

These are some of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. In general I’m not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks because I can’t stand when my lips feel dry. These aren’t at all drying and they don’t cause my lips to shrivel up like prunes, which is never a good look for me.

These lipsticks preformed consistently well for me with the exception of ROCKER CHICK which applied patchy.

Again I haven’t kept one shade on for more than hour or two so I’m not sure how long they last. To be honest I’m probably not a good judge anyway because I’m always eating, drinking and talking. But I will update you guys in a few days after I’ve had some more time to experiment.

Out of all 27 shades the only one that I had trouble with was ROCKER CHICK. All the rest applied evenly and wore nicely until I took them off. Most (if not all) of these colors are dupeable. But for me formula is everything and these are some of the most comfy liquid lipsticks I’ve worn. ‘PLUSH’ really is the perfect name. Check back tomorrow for swatches of all 20 ICONIC lipsticks!
