MAY 2017 SEPHORA PLAY REVIEW

Sephora Play is a $10 a month beauty subscription service that exclusively features products that are sold at Sephora. The subscription includes five samples, a perfume sample, makeup bag and a fold out leaflet detailing the products. There’s usually four different product variations.

They also include a card that you can redeem in store for 50 beauty insider points. Here’s what I got this month…

This month the bag is clear plastic with red font.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask ($15)- I’ve gotten a few samples of this mask in the past and I like it. It smells really good and using it is an enjoyable experience but it’s not one of those masks that has dramatic results. At least not for me. Fun fact- Em has really sensitive skin and this mask burned her face off. I’m not even exaggerating that much. She did a post about it.

Milk Makeup Blur Stick ($4)- I have the full sized version of this product and it’s okay. I find that it does fill in pores but the results don’t last long, maybe 2 or 3 hours. I liked it enough to keep it (the full sized one that I bought, I mean) but I wouldn’t repurchase.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask ($6)- I like this mask. It smells really good and it made my hair soft.

Grande Lips Hydrating Lip Plumper ($4)- this is a lip plumper that you’re supposed to use twice daily and claims to have long term results. I’m skeptical about whether or not that’s really possible but the product itself is okay. It doesn’t burn the way the Too Faced one does. It has hyaluronic acid and I noticed that it smoothed out the lines of my lips a bit, more so than making them more full.

Trestique Mini Highlight Stick ($8)- I’ve gotten this product before from IPSY.

It’s a pretty champagne color and now that I’ve been using the Clarisonic SONIC foundation brush, I’ve been more inclined to use cream products like this.

Clean Reserve Sel Santal ($1)- I liked this sample too. The scent is fresh and clean which I especially like during the summer months.

Sephora Play is $10 a month and my bag’s value was around $38. It was an okay month for me. I like all of the products but there wasn’t anything that I’m in love with. I’ve been contemplating cancelling but I enjoy reviewing it, so for now Sephora Play will live to see another month!
