Huda Beauty Neon Pink Obsessions Palette

Palette #3… Click here if you missed my Orange and Green palette dupes! Believe it or not out of the three palettes, this one was the hardest for me to dupe. Those two matte corals in the top row were nearly my undoing. Unfortunately I didn’t have an exact dupe for those two or a few of the other shades but I think that I came close. Whomp. Let’s dive in!▪️1 vs ColourPop Flower Boy ($4.50, -10% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- both are bright coral mattes but Flower Boy is more orange and a bit darker.Other options- Clionadh Charmed, Mac Free to Be▪️2 vs Devinah Runts ($8, -20% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 2 has a white base with strong pinky lavender reflects. Runts is similar from straight on (as shown above) but it also has a gold shift (below)Other options- Looxi Sweet Tooth, ColourPop Haze▪️3 vs ColourPop Poodle ($4.50, -10% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 3 is very similar to the first coral matte. 3 is a little darker and more orange but they’re way too similar for both to be in a 9 pan palette, imo. Poodle is a little more pink and mutedOther options- Melt Cosmetics Scammin’, Morphe Gum Drop, Devinah La La Orange▪️4 vs ColourPop Sandbar ($4.50, -10% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- both are hot pink mattes. Sandbar is a bit darkerOther options- Melt Cosmetics Radioactive, Devinah Rainbow Brite▪️5 vs Devinah Charmed ($5, 20% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 5 has a radiant orchid base with sparkly teal reflects. Charmed is cooler and not as pink or sparklyOther options- ABH Electro, MUG Hot Pants and Mac Stars n’ Rockets would all be better dupes because they’re more pink. But ABH is $12, MUG has been discontinued and Mac isn’t cruelty free▪️6 vs Devinah Shy Violet ($5, -20% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 6 is a bright magenta matte. It’s a little more pink than Shy Violet. Morphe Magical Magenta is a closer color dupe but I used Shy Violet as my first choice because I greatly prefer Devinah as a brand▪️7 vs Devinah Aria ($5, -20% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 7 is a pale matte lavender. It’s a little lighter and more pink than AriaOther options: Nabla Lotus, Clinadh Aurora▪️8 vs ColourPop Earthshine ($4.50, -10% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 8 has a sheer pinky lavender base with blue reflects. Earthshine is a little more pinkOther options- Beauty Escape Cosmetics Morning Sprite, Looxi Neon Pink▪️9 vs Touch of Glam Beauty Future is Fuchsia ($7.50, -15% w/ affil code BEAUTYCULT)- 9 is glittery fuchsia pink. Future is Fuchsia is darker and more pigmentedOption 2- ColourPop Solstice with the MostestTada! Done! Finally! Originally I was planning on returning green and keeping the other two palettes. The green palette was a huge disappointment but the pink one was decent and the orange was really good. But after completing this duping expedition, I think that I’m going to return all three. I bought these palettes mostly for the shimmers. They looked so incredibly beautiful in the photos that I saw online. After getting my hands on them, I realized that I already own these colors but with better formulas. A lot of my Huda shimmers are getting a weird filmy layer that’s affecting the ease application and most of them (especially in the green palette) are a lot more sheer than I’d hoped. The mattes were surprisingly good overall but I don’t feel like they’re all that different from the plethora of bright mattes that I already own. Have you tried any of the Neon Obsessions palettes??
