Nyx Professional Makeup Slip Tease Lip Lacquers ($6.99)

Another new(ish) lip product fromNyx Cosmetics!! The Slip Tease Lip Lacquers (not to be confused with the Slip Tease Lip Oils) are full coverage, glossy liquid lipsticks with a vanilla mint scent. They have an hourglass shaped applicator that allow for precise application and they’re available on the Nyx Cosmetics website in 24 shades. They’re also available at Ulta but I don’t think they carry full shade range.

Nyx Cosmetics sent over a few of their new lip products and it was kind of a mixed bag for me. I LOVE their new Suede Matte lipsticks and I like the Suede Matte lip liners very much. These however… I dunno… they’re def not bad but they’re not my favorite. The colors are beautiful and the formula is hydrating. It reminds me of the OCC Lip Tar formula *pours out a little liquor*. But when I wear a high pigment, glossy lipstick like these; it’s inevitable that at some point I’ll scratch my nose or something and end up with lipstick all over my face.

Also you need to be really gentle when putting the applicator back in the tube. If you just jam it in there, it forces product to overflow from the tube. I’m like a bull in a China shop so needless to say, I’ve had a few messes.

I’ve tried about half of these on my lips and I didn’t notice any variation in formula or performance from shade to shade. My personal favs are Motel Dreams, Strawberry Whip, Decadent and Urban Oasis. Have you tried the Slip Tease lip lacquers?? If so, let us know your thoughts in the comments!
