Sunday Riley The Influencer Foundation (shades 150-160-170)

Sample. Affil links

Sunday Riley is one of my favorite skincare companies, their Good Genes lactic acid treatment is my daily jam before moisturizer (I like layering this with their TIDAL water cream so its not so heavy for the summer, I used to use this only at night, now my skin isn’t super sensitive anymore, so it goes in both night and day. I also use their Auto correct eye depuffing lotion when my eyes show the signs of lack of sleep. Recently I discovered their CEO moisturizer which is thicker and just right for the night to wear under makeup. I also use the Saturn mask as spot treatment but this late one hasn’t been too popular at my home, Hubs complains of the scent – he says I smell like satan when I wear it.

The released a foundation called The Influencer ($42, 1.08 fl oz) , with 20 shades and…

I received a sample of three of the shades closest to my skintone! (I personally am shade 160) and have been testing and comparing. The foundation is advertised as medium to full coverage but I would note that you’d need to use a brush for it, if you use a blending sponge it will be a lighter coverage (well duh but I feel I have to point this out).

The foundation is matte finish and some people complained of it being dry, I personally have to layer my foundation with a good moisturizer and primer because my skin is dry and now being summer, the moisturizer cannot be oily or Ill sweat it out into a greaseball.

I layered it under CEO moisturizer and the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer (I have been digging!) and it was smooth and covered a lot of imperfections but I felt I needed to use a color corrector and concealer on problem spots, since I sheered it out quite a lot. It didn’t feel heavy, it kept me matte for most of the night and didn’t separate or gave me patchy spots. Overall, I liked it but I will certainly layer It more (I use Wayne Goss Foundation  brush to apply otherwise) to achieve a fuller coverage.

And yes, since I know you will ask: Colourpop’s has more coverage. I said it, but the difference is you can probably be shade matched in store, here is to hoping ColourPop brings their foundation line to Ulta soon.

Have you tried this? how do you like!!!?! and most importantly: do you need an update on skincare goodies I’m loving??!
