Recently Popsugar switched from being a monthly box to a quarterly box. At first I was a little sad because this is the one box that I always enjoyed receiving every month. Also I haven’t had to shop for the women in my life for years because the items in this box are highly regiftable. But after receiving the first quarterly box, I’ve already changed my tune… because this was one hell of a box! The monthly box used to be $40. The new seasonal box will be delivered four times a year and costs $75 a box. You can use the code MUSTHAVE5 to save $5 off of your first box. I know that $75 is a lot of money but did you see that top photo?? Yes, bitch, that is a full sized Sunday Riley Product! Okay lemme show ya all the goods and you can decide for yourself if it’s worth the money! Oh wait. One more thing. The Summer edition is already sold out so if you sign up, your first box will be the Fall edition, shipping in August. The Summer box sold out months ago so don’t wait too long before signing up if you want in on this.
The box itself is actually really nice. It’s very sturdy and has a magnetic closure. I saved mine to fill with crap.
Then all of the items are neatly wrapped in tissue paper.
They include a booklet detailing all the products.
And a list of discount codes if you want to purchase more from a particular brand.
Beauty by Popsugar Be the Boss Lip gloss ($18)- Popsugar recently launched a cosmetics line! It’s sold at Ulta and this gloss is the first item I’ve tried. It has a squeezey tube, a doe foot applicator and a vanilla cookie scent. This particular shade is sheer with a lot of shine. The formula is moisturizing and non-sticky. Score!
Eberjey Wrap Robe ($88)- this is a horrible photo. Forgive me. This was the first spoiler item and you got to choose your size. Mine is S/M. It’s a short pink robe with a front tie closure and it’s made from a very light weight material. I’ve never really worn a robe before. I generally wear a towel around the house for 1-24 hours after showering but now that I have this cute little guy, I’m going to make an effort to use it during these hot summer months.
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85)- Daaaaayum! What’s really good, Popsugar? Full sized Sunday Riley?? Obviously I’m tickled pink about this. It’s a vitamin C serum that I’ve actually never tried before. And as luck should have it, I just finished my bottle of C-firma so instead of opening a new one, I’ve started using this instead. I’ll do a review once I’ve used the whole bottle.
Lele Sadoughi Circle Garland Earrings ($98)- I couldn’t find these exact earrings online so I linked two similar pairs in the title. I love these earrings. I don’t generally wear a lot of jewelry (in fact I just had to frantically search for my wedding rings after realizing that I hadn’t seen them in weeks.
Found em!) But when I do wear earrings, I like big dangley guys like these. The disks are made from natural stones and connected by 14k gold plated rings. No two pairs are alike. I’m keeping them even though I’ll probably only wear them once a year.
Sphynx 3-in-1 Portable Razor ($15)- this thingy includes a water spray bottle, shea butter shave bar and two razor blades. I’ll def save it for the next time that I travel!
Mela Artisans Concha Round Box ($60)- I love this little jar too! It’s gorgeous. Mine is currently holding cotton pads on my vanity. If you’re into pretty, hand crafted decorative items then Mela Artisans is definitely a brand that you should check out. Their stuff is pricey but worth it. I also have a big tray from them that I adore.
Ahmad Tea of London Fruit & Herb Selection ($4.50)- meh. I don’t drink tea. Whatevs. Moving on.
Propel Watermelon Powder ($2)- Also meh. I probably won’t use these either. Maybe my husband will.
Mrs. Meyers Lemon Verbena Bar Soap ($4)- I hadn’t used bar soap in a million years until reviewing some products from Sumbody skincare a few months ago. Now I’m all about it. This soap smells heavenly and it’s very moisturizing.
Mrs. Meyers Lavender Hand Sanitizer ($3.50)- I rarely use hand sanitizer after reading about people losing their resistance to bacteria after over using it. But I always keep some in my freelance kit in case there isn’t a sink nearby. This stuff also smells like dream and has already replaced the little bath and body works gel sanitizer that lived in my kit previously.
And there you have it! As I mentioned in my intro, this box costs $75 and the value of the Summer edition was… drum roll… $378!! Damn good return, if you ask me. I love the serum, box, earrings and robe. Oh and I like the lip gloss a lot. I was pretty thrilled with every item with the exception of the tea and propel. But they’re only worth $6 combined, so who cares?? Now I impatiently wait for the Fall box. Don’t forget to use the code MUSTHAVE5 if you decide to sign up!
