Okay! So what am I getting? Let’s start with the stuff that I buy every single time that they have this sale, my staples. Which are mostly skincare.
Dr. Dennis Gross extra strength alpha beta peel– I looooooooove these peels. I use them 2-3 times a week and they help my skin tremendously. They work great for fine lines and dark spots. I always get the extra strength and I don’t find them to be harsh.
Drunk Elephant C-firma Day Serum– keep in mind that I’m not an esthetician. I’m not able to give you any in depth descriptions about these products but I buy them time and time again because they work. This my daytime serum. I first got this in a popsugar box years ago and I’ve been a believer ever since.
Sunday Riley Good Genes– this is my night time serum. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. It has all kinds of miraculous acids that fight the signs of aging. I dare someone to try and take this stuff from me. You’d wish that you hadn’t. Just sayin…
Sunday Riley Juno– since Artemis was discontinued, Juno has become my go to oil. I’m all about the oils btw. I use them every single night and most days as well.
Elizabeth and James Dry Shampoo– this another item I first discovered in a popsugar box. It’s the only dry shampoo that I’ve used since. It smells like heaven and cures my greasy roots and allows me to be a dirty bitch and not wash my hair for DAYS! Muah haha!
Shiseido Facial Cotton– my bougee cotton pads. These things are dope. I don’t care. I’ll never stop buying them.
Here’s some new items that I’m considering buying for the first time:
Dr. Jart + Cicapair– this a thick cream with the tiger grass that the brand is known to use and it’s green to counteract redness. I got sample and loved it.
Herbivore True Blue Skin Clarifying Duo– I love blue tansy. I have this mask and I love it and I’m thinking about buying this oil that also has blue tansy. Then I stumbled upon this little set that has both. Score!
These next few items I’ve purchased multiple times but I’m not buying them this month. I mean my list is like a zillion bucks. I’ve got to leave some things out.
Too Faced Glitter Glue– I’ve probably purchased this 100 times. I could probably find at least 5 open tubes if I searched my makeup room and freelance kit. I use it as a primer for any shimmery lid color without fail.
Sephora Do It All Cotton Swabs– best cotton swabs ever. They’re teeny tiny. Perfect for cleaning up eye makeup and swatches.
Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner– this stuff is no joke! It’s pretty harsh so I’m dipping my blue squirrel brushes into it but it instantly cleans and dries brushes. I don’t know how it works and I don’t want to know but it’s a lifesaver.
Dior Airflash– the infamous spray paint foundation! This stuff is expensive so I use it sparingly but it’s so fast and it looks gorgeous on the skin.
Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Advanced– my favorite fancy primer. This primer followed with the airflash foundation is my favorite combo.
It Cosmetics CC Illumination– best cc cream ever for normal to dry skin. Not so much for oily skin.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream– yet another item introduced to me through popsugar! This is my go to winter moisturizer for dry, itchy skin.
Make Up For Ever XL Metal Palette– I’ve got about 20 of these things. They’re huge, indestructible and cheap. But they’re ALWAYS sold out. If you catch them while they’re in stock, buy two.
We’re starting to wind down here, I swear. Here’s a few things that I haven’t had to repurchase yet but that I highly recommend.
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask– this mask is def not for sensitive skin. It’s intense. But you see results the next day. I only use it once every few weeks and you only need a tiny bit so it lasts forever.
Natasha Denona Lila Palette– I love this palette but it’s crazy expensive. Now’s the time to get it, if it’s been on your wish list.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette– I love ABH palettes and this one is LE. Don’t let it pass you by!
Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick– I only have this lipstick in one color and I don’t feel an overwhelming need to buy more but they have such a cool spongey texture that I feel like you should get at least one to try. Plus Pat always comes correct with the packaging.
Clarisonic Mia 2 BlendXCleanse Gift Set– I was getting ready to recommend the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the foundation attachment separately when I saw this awesome set! You get both for $169 so you’re basically getting the foundation head for free. I LOVE that brush. It blends foundation flawlessly and makes cream contouring a breeze. And of course I always use my clarisonic to wash my face.
Sephora Collection Pro Featherweight Complexion Brush #90– I dig Sephora’s brush line. I use this brush all the time. It’s great for setting the undereye, blush, bronzer, contour everything.
Sephora Collection Pro Highlight Brush #98– this my favorite highlighter brush ever. The size, shape and density is perfect.
Congratulations if you made it to the end! I’m also going to work on a giant ‘Best of Beauty 2017’ and it’s going to feature these products plus tons of brands that aren’t sold at Sephora. Happy shopping y’all!!
