Good ole friend Vanda from @missviggity was awesome to sent me her extra so I could check these out and compare.
You can buy these at BEAUTYLISH HERE or at SEPHORA HERE.
The Crystal top coats are little jars of a mousse gel like textured glitter that turns to powder upon application and can be used as top coat on your lips or your lids. The glitter is fine and it does stick to your skin without a glitter glue.
The shade is a champagne gold glitter over a blonde brown base.
I liked the effect but it’s nothing we haven’t seen in terms of foiled shadows, in fact the formula is very familiar…
The shade I got is “Nude” and as I applied it, it reminded me of a certain very similar texture: Colourpop Super Shock shadow – Metallics. The SSS are shadows semi/pressed into a pan but they have the same feel than these new Crystal top coats. And at a fraction of a price. The shade BIRTHDAY GIRL is a close dupe that provides the same glittery champagne gold look.
- I liked them but I wasn’t impressed enough to purchase more of these, and once I realized there’s a very close dupe, I can safely recommend you to buy the dupe instead. I love Natasha Denona products, I think her shadow formula is amazing (even as they are on the high end of the price spectrum, I feel the amount of product you got on the palettes somehow validates it) but this one fell on the overpriced train at $28 with such a close dupe for $5 in existence.
More pictures of the top coat and it’s similar dupe.
