TOO FACED ‘JUST PEACHY’ PALETTE ($45)
I ordered a number of items from this new collection because I was attracted to the colors and the super cute packaging. I’m starting with the palette but I’ll be reviewing the highlighter, pie bronzer and one of the lippies soon as well. In the aftermath of some recent palette debacles from Too Faced, I’ve been hesitant to buy another one. However I’m happy (and a little shocked) to report that I really like this palette!
Let’s check out the swatches…
Peach meringue is matte ivory. It didn’t appear to have great pigmentation on me but it’s also the same color as my skinPeach tea is mid-toned caramel brown.
Peach cobbler is slightly darker than Peach tea and more orange.
Peach tart is a warm dark brown.
Peach butter is another ivory shade. On the skin it looks nearly the same as peach meringue but slightly more pigmented.
Just peachy is mid-toned orangey coral.
Peach punch is a bright reddish coral.
Just ripe is a deep matte burgundy.
Peaches and cream is a light, bright peach.
Fresh picked is in between peach tea and peach cobbler. It also has slightly pinky undertones.
Peach sangria is a wine color with a satin finish. It’s the only color in the palette that’s not matte.
Chocolate dipped is dark neutral brown.
🔸️The good- I love the packaging. It looks almost like enamel but I’m sure it’s actually a hard plastic. It’s sleek, sturdy and has a cute peach clasp that holds it closed. It’s adorable but also understated.
Most importantly I really enjoy the formula of these eyeshadows. These are the best TF mattes that I’ve used since the OG choc bar palette. They do have a good bit of kick up but the pigmentation is on point and they apply smoothly. I’d compare the formula to Lorac mattes. And lastly I love the color selection and the light peachy scent.
🔸️The not so good- the two whites weren’t great. But to be fair they blend in with my skin tone. Also the color scheme is quite monochromatic. I don’t think that they needed two whites and peach cobbler and fresh picked are fairly similar as well. I think they could’ve included a little more variety.
Upon first glance this isn’t the most original palette that I’ve ever seen. I thought that I would have tons of dupes. And although I do own a number of similar colors, finding actual dupes was more difficult than anticipated. I’ll post what I came up with next.
In my opinion, Just Peachy is the best palette that Too Faced has released in quite some time. If you’re a coral fan like myself, I think that you’ll enjoy it too!
Thank you for the great, quality swatches. Been having trouble actually finding good pics of the colors, so this was super helpful!
