JUVIA’S PLACE ZULU PALETTE: REVIEW, SWATCHES and DISCOUNT CODE

PR sample. Affiliate discount code
Tada! The latest and greatest from JUVIA’S PLACE! The Zulu is Juvia’s first limited edition eyeshadow palette. I’m not sure how long it’s going to be around, so don’t wait too long if you want to make your collection complete! The palette retails for $17.50 (bargain!) but our affiliate code BEAUTYCULT will save you 10%.

The palette has nine large eyeshadows (3.6g/.12oz), 6 mattes and 3 shimmers in the bright colors that you’d expect from Juvia’s.

The shadows don’t have names so I’m just going to go in order.

The top row is all matte. The first color is a light bright orange. Beautiful transition color. It is pigmented but with a light hand it could work for lighter skin tones too.

Matte yellows are all the rage lately. One of the first that I remember seeing recently was in the TF HONEY PALETTE. That one was garbage. Then CP made a few. There’s one in the SUNSET PALETTE. I know there’s been way more. You get the point. This one is really good! Color pay off is on point and the color itself is lovely. It has a teeny bit of orange to it which makes it a bit more wearable, in my humble opinion.

Lastly we have medium warm brown with yellow and orange undertones. The perfect compliment to the previous two shades.

And zee blue green row! First up a creamy matte teal. I know there’s a MUG color that’s similar but I don’t feel like getting off my fat ass to check. I want to say dragonfly. Anyway. It’s a matte teal. I’d say it leans a teeny bit more green than blue.

And then we have two shimmers. A spring green and an aqua.

Both have that foiled type finish that we love so much.

In the final row, we have one more shimmer and two mattes. First is pinky gold duochrome. There’s a color in the Magic palette that’s in the same family. This one has a stronger gold shift. I’ll do a quick side by side tomorrow and insert a pic.

Then we have a bright matte rose. I looooovve this color. It’s definitely in the coral family but it leans much more red/pink than orange.

And last but certainly not least… this damn purple! Jesus, Mary and Joseph! It reminds me of Sugarpill Poison Plum which is one of the greatest purples of all time. I don’t know how she does it, but Juvia’s hits it out of the park every time with her matte purples and this one is no exception. I’ll be hitting pan on this baby fo sho.

And here’s the whole squad together again. Zulu is yet another excellent palette from Juvia’s. I like the shimmers but I think the mattes are really the star of this palette. And it’s a steal at $17.50 ($15.75 with the discount code). Don’t forget that it is LE so I would get it soon if it’s on your list!
