The new Supreme Glow highlighters from Dose Of Colors were available at IMATS NYC this year and at the voice of : NEW! NOT SEEN BEFORE! EXCLUSIVE! I suckered in and did a long line to get them. They will be out at the end of the month (per the kids divulging news..) and Imma tell you right now why you may not need them.

The packaging is a black compact with gold lettering and they contain 0.25oz/7g for $28.00. The formula is just ok, its smooth to the touch and its pigmented enough for coverage on darker skintones (@Makeupbykifana and I tested this at IMATS). My one problem is the shades are uninspired, the same light pink and yellow gold that’s in probably all my highlighter palettes. The packaging and shades are suspiciously similar to Makeup Geek’s… Im underwhelmed.. I feel I am owed about 40 minutes of standing in line.

Don’t get me wrong, they are pretty and the compact with its sturdy mirror are gorgeous, I just don’t think $28 is a fair price to pay for a very basic shade (I am not “throwing shade”, I am calling it a basic shade given that this year has been the year of the duochrome everything where indies brought down the house with multimensional shades… hoping this is not another brand to fall on the rut of stuff that’s been overdone..
