Its been a while that I have gotten a palette I can Ohh and Ahh about – I seem to find whatever is wrong with it rather quick and I cant help but wonder (Carrie moment here) if Im just becoming jaded with cosmetics, if the next thing ill do is lead a no makeup movement where we just wear amazing highlighters… that was until I saw the texture of the Springtime in Paris palette: I was legit surprised and as my first Jouer palette I have to give Kudos when its due; my only caveat is that its not exactly what we have come to expect from a “spring” palette but it definitely coordinates with Rose Gold lips and the image of the ethereal Parisian style (that we have in our heads anyway). The palette retails for $40 and you get 12 shades of matte and shimmers. The mattes are AMAZING for the most part, they don’t kick up a lot of product, they are not dry, they are smooth to apply and the texture is creamy and soft. – the only ones that I thought were a bit powdery were the last three: Ash Brown, Amethyst and Slate. These three were just not as pigmented and smooth as the rest. The shimmers are not bright glittery  foils but gentle shimmers that can be layered but day/night.

The highlighter in ROSE GOLD: I have said already how much I love Jouer highlighters, this was another hit in the shade department unfortunately it does feel a bit on the dry side. The shade is a gorgeous gold with a rose shift and my most similar shades would have to be Saucebox Cosmetics Phoenix Kiss and Colourpop Dreamcatcher.

The Rose Gold lip crème is a pretty Rose gold metallic liquid lipstick with a metallic matte finish, it required a bit of layering for full coverage.

The lip topper was gorgeous and probably used by itself by me a lot: it reminds me of NARS OUTER LIMITS SHADOW: That with the gold and pink shifting glitter.
