Coloured Raine Eyeshadow Haul!

The following was purchased and we are not affiliated with the company. However, I am sharing someone else’s affiliate code that I used to get 10% off my order.

Breaking my Coloured Raine cherry with these eyeshadows from their newest release! I figured I have heard so much about their stuff so I finally jumped the gun and purchased a few to test out the formula, focusing on the mattes with a couple of the shimmers to dabble a little bit.

The overall formula of the mattes was nice, for the most part it was very smooth and easy to blend and I was satisfied with the pigment payoff of most, with the exception of one shade that I will discuss below, so lets jump right through to it.

MAJESTIC: this shade looks like a teal blue on the pan but shades like this tend to pull the yellow on my skintone and swatch greener than what they are. Rule of thumb: brights, neons and pastel shades should have a white base (I use something like NYX jumbo pencil as base and blend it out – it makes shades like this pop true to color). This shade was also the only one that wasn’t even at application.

GUMBY: This shade of forest green appeals to my love of camo everything, paired with some olives and browns for a fall like look. I don’t have any similar greens in this exact shade.

HOT COCOA: This is your standard rich warm toned brown, the formula for this was smoother than the previous two and I liked its soft texture – this blended beautifully.

FLASHY: A metallic gold shade, it wasn’t as bright as its dupes but then again I didn’t foil these. Similar shades: Colourpop Telepathic, MUG Fortune Teller..

HAPPY DAZE: This is a duochrome peach with a pink shift. Similar shades: Melt AMELIE is similar, also ColourPop  COME AND GET IT

VINTAGE: A very pretty burgundy metallic shade.

NATIVE: this is a terracotta, my favorite of the bunch. Similar shades: Colourpop GET OUT.

I used code SOPHIE (@lipstickjunkieforever)’s code for 10% off.
Overall: I liked them, I wish the Metallics were brighter as they behaved more like satins and lately I’ve been spoiled by bright foiled Metallics.

Do you have any of these? Which other Coloured Raine shadows do you recommend!?
