SEPHORA PLAY is a $10 a month beauty subscription service that exclusively features brands that are sold at SEPHORA. It includes 5 product samples, a perfume sample, a drawstring bag and a fold out leaflet detailing the products. There’s usually 2-4 different product variations and my selections this month were pretty good. Here’s what I got…
URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER SETTING SPRAY ($4)- I like this setting spray. I already have a bunch of samples of it but I’ll use this one eventually

DETOX DRY SHAMPOO ($8)- This is a pretty good dry shampoo and I will use it but nothing compares to my holy grail dry shampoo from ELIZABETH AND JAMES.

MAKE UP FOR EVER STEP ONE SMOOTHING PRIMER ($6)- MUFE has about a bunch of different primers and I’ve liked all the ones that I’ve tried. This one is supposed to fill in fine lines and pores. It does an okay job of doing so but I prefer to use a radiant primer and then fill in my lines and pores with a setting powder. I like the product and I’ll use it but I don’t think I’d purchase it.

SEPHORA CREAM LIP STAIN IN ‘ALWAYS RED’ ($3)- I like the formula of the product but it’s not a color that I’ll ever wear. The applicator of the sample is really small so you can easily outline your lips with it but I had to re-dip 3 times just to fill in my tiny mouth. It would probably be really annoying for someone with full lips.

LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA ($18)- I love this mascara. It has a curved wand that thoroughly coats the lashes for maximum volume and fullness. I probably wouldn’t buy the full sized version because it’s $27.50 and I get tons of mascara in subscription boxes but I’m enjoying the sample.

ELIZABETH AND JAMES ‘NIRVANA ROSE- I’m normally not a fan of floral scents but this one is pretty nice. It smells like roses but not in the ‘old lady’ type way I usually think of. I actually like this one enough that I would consider purchasing it, assuming I ever get through my huge bag of perfume samples.
SEPHORA PLAY is $10 a month and this month’s value is a little less than $40. The theme of the month, for me, seems to be ‘I like it… but not enough to actually buy it’. The only thing that I won’t use is the lippie but everything else, I’ll utilize sooner or later. And this concludes my final beauty box review of 2016!
