This is the second part of the duochrome liquid lipsticks I got From Ofra Cosmetics, the initial ones (pink and purples are a few posts back but these deserved their own post because their shades are the most complex also because I have been MIA and Angela has been a busy bee with posts and I’m looking like a slacker hehehe also cause i missed doing a good duochrome swatch.
Ang and I have discussed metallic lippies and their similarities to what our lips look like after a good day at KFC but these are gorgeous and their drying time is quick while smoothing out the lips a little and feeling lightweight enough for on the go (some liquid lippies require some precision but these are easy enough to maneuver even if you have to put them on while on the car (please dont lip and drive).
Fantasia
This is a mauve brown with a purple blue shift, The transfer here was minimal with only the purple shimmer transfering on hubs’ cheeks – it wears off as a mauve and doesn’t look crazy or bruised on the lips which is important with these type of shades..
Emerald City
This is like wearing ColourPop’s “Hammered” on the lips, its quite a stunner and an interesting choice: the shimmers are gold and green while remaining wearable.
BOTTOM POINT: Ofra nailed the formula on these, non drying and allowing for movement without flaking while giving that otherworldly metallic sheen that is in – even as its very “capitolesque” you know you are dying to try some alienesque shades like these or maybe over your standard brown lipsticks and why not: over a burgundy? what would you pair these with???
