MAKEUP GEEK ‘TYPHOON’ vs VIOLET VOSS ‘SMASHLEE’ (LAURA LEE PALETTE)

  New dupe! I came across this guy by accident. Back when I compared UD CRUX and MAC TRY ME ON (teal and gold duochromes) a bunch of you asked if I’d compare all of my blue/green/gold duochromes. So I pulled a bunch of them out to see which ones were the most alike. And while these two are a lot more green than the others that I’ll be comparing, it turns out that they’re nearly exact dupes for each other!

TYPHOON is one of MUG’S duochrome shadows. It’s a deep teal with a strong emerald green shift. And it’s only $6!

  SMASHLEE is in the VIOLET VOSS X LAURA LEE PALETTE, which I believe was $45. I know it’s LE and currently sold out but I wouldn’t be surprised if they restocked it again at some point. Of course $45 is a lot more than $6 but you’re getting 19 other shadows as well. 

So if you’ve got the LAURA LEE PALETTE then you can safely pass on TYPHOON. But if you weren’t able to get it and you love this color then you’ve got an inexpensive alternative!
