AUGUST 2016 FAVORITES

JUVIA’S PLACE ‘THE MASQUERADE’ PALETTE  (LE, SAVE 10% WITH THE CODE: TANNER10)– everyone has been talking about this palette and for good reason. It’s friggin amazing! However it is limited edition and as far as I know it’s sold out. So for that reason, I’m not going to rave about it too much. There will a revamped version of this palette available in the fall.

MAKEUP GEEK × KATHLEEN LIGHTS PALETTE  ($39)– I love this palette soooo much! Way more than I expected. What makes it special to me is the formula, it’s very finely milled and reflective. I’ve already done a full review of this palette, which you can check our if you’re interested. This palette is available for purchase here and don’t forget, it’s limited edition! So don’t wait too long!

MAKEUP GEEK FULL SPECTRUM EYE PENCILS  ($9 EACH OR $58 FOR ALL TEN)– I haven’t reviewed these guys yet but it’s on my to do list! Due to allergies my eyes are constantly watering so it takes a really special eyeliner to last in my waterline. Not only do the Makeup geek full spectrum liners have staying power but they also apply incredibly smoothly. No tugging! These pencils are $9 each but you can also get the 10 pencil bundle for $58, which is a really great deal!

TATCHA RICE ENZYME POWDER ($65)– this isn’t an item that’s new to me but I repurchased it not long ago and we’ve rekindled our romance! It’s a physical exfoliant but it’s so gentle that I can use it every day. It makes my face feel baby soft and radiant. That’s all I’m going to say about it for now because I’ve got a skincare series in the works and I plan to kick it off by reviewing this powder.

SUNDAY RILEY ARTEMIS CELLULAR FACE OIL ($75) – I’ve used a few different SUNDAY RILEY oils before (and I love all them) but this is my first bottle of Artemis. I like to use this one in the morning because it seems  a bit lighter than FLORA and JUNO, the other two oils I’ve tried from this brand. I’ve heard that ARTEMIS is being discontinued, I’m not sure if that’s true or not but if it’s still available in the next few weeks, I plan to review it as well.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS FOUNDATION STICK ($25)- Anastasia and Norvina have done it again! I haven’t bought a stick foundation in years but found that I couldn’t resist giving this one a try. They can be used for contouring, highlighting and concealer but I’ve only used it as an all over foundation. The coverage is medium but buildable and feels very light weight. It also blends in to the skin with minimal effort. I find ‘WARM NATURAL’ to be a teeny bit light for my NC35 skin tone but I can definitely make it work. The only thing I don’t love about it is the price. $25 sounds really cheap but the weight is only .32oz, a normal liquid foundation is usually 1 oz. But compared to other stick foundations, ABH is very reasonably priced. I’ve used this every time I’ve worn makeup since getting it and it’s safe to say that I’m hooked!

STROBE COSMETICS EYESHADOWS ($6.50 EACH, SAVE 20% WITH THE CODE: TANNER)– I had the pleasure of swatching and reviewing Strobe’s entire eyeshadow line last month. You can go to the index at the bottom of our website and select ‘STROBE COSMETICS’ to see all of the swatches and my review. I’ve really been loving the mauves and burgundys specifically PROPHECY, TWISTY, RHAPSODY and STRONGMAN.

MAX FACTOR MASTERPIECE MAX MASCARA  ($12.99)– I received this mascara (and eyeliner) for free from influenster in exchange for my review. I’m not a fan of the liquid liner but the mascara is great. It has a comb like brush that grabs every single lash while lengthening and separating. It’s amazing for the lower lashes! I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one.

Phew! That was a lot! If you’re still reading at this point, I commend you! Have you tried anything from this list? Or see anything that you’ve been thinking about trying?
